South Indian Cooking Class with Vaju Moorthy (Culinary Instructor & Cookbook Author)

Saturday, September 14, 2024 9:30am - Noon at the AMMA Center Kitchen

Vaju’s childhood experiences awakened a deep love of Indian cuisine within her, which she loves to share with others. Under Amma’s guidance, she enjoys the blessing of serving as a cook on Amma’s world tours, and offering cooking classes and retreats in Amritapuri and worldwide. Vaju’s Amrita Prasadam cooking classes are also offered online through Amrita Virtual Academy, with over 70 recipes available from across India, and matching instructional videos to help students learn at their own pace.

$35 per person, cash or check made out to the AMMA Center of NM

Limited to 20 students!

Optionally, if you don't want to attend the class, but still want to enjoy the tasty meal, you can do so for $35.

The daily ashram routine includes archana (chanting of the 108 Names of Amma and the 1000 Names of the Divine Mother), meditation, seva (volunteering or service) and bhajans (devotional singing).

The Santa Fe Satsang meets on Saturday nights, from at 5:00pm-7:30pm in the temple. Arrive by 4:15pm if you would like to chant the 1000 names of Sri Lalita before Satsang begins.
