IAM-35 Meditation Refresher

Sunday, March 23, 2025
Mar 23, 2025 9:00am-11:00am

Join this IAM-35 Refresher on Sunday, March 23rd from 9:00 – 11:00 am at MA Center Chicago. The refresher will be held during the final morning of the weekend in-person IAM-35 Retreat, where you will join the retreatants for the refresher session. There is no fee for this refresher, but you must register in advance. Click here to reserve your spot.

Long-time IAM instructors Radha Katz and Anand Kane will lead the refresher session. Afterward, you are invited to join the Q&A with Swamini Ambikāmrita Prāna, one of Amma’s most senior meditation instructors. Following the Q&A, there will be a light vegetarian lunch available for purchase. When registering, please RSVP for the lunch or email us at maccmeditation@macenters.org.

The IAM-35 Refresher is for all those who have completed the 8-hour IAM-35 Course. Whether you have learned the technique recently or some time ago, you can deepen your practice or get it back on track with this 2-hour refresher. The technique will be reviewed step-by-step, and you will also experience a group guided meditation. You may ask questions and clarify your understanding of IAM. The instructors will share approaches to help you deepen your commitment to consistently practicing the IAM-35.

Since this refresher is part of a weekend IAM retreat, consider attending the entire retreat to revitalize your practice.

What to wear, what to bring: MA Center Chicago is an ashram (spiritual sanctuary), so we kindly request that all attendees dress modestly to maintain the sacred atmosphere of the space. Wear modest comfortable clothing suitable for gentle yoga poses. You may wish to bring a yoga mat and/or blanket, meditation cushion, water bottle, and snacks. Chairs and course handouts will be provided. Also, if you wish, bring clothing for the outdoors—during breaks you are invited to stroll and soak in the spiritual atmosphere of the ashram grounds.
