Navaratri, or Nine days of the Devi, and Vijayadashami will be celebrated from Thursday, October 3 through Saturday, October 12.

The word Navaratri means 'nine nights' in Sanskrit. During these nine nights and ten days, three days each are devoted to honoring the different forms of the divine mother, Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. Vijayadashami day is traditionally an auspicious time for starting new ventures.

DURGA PUJA:

  • Thursday, October 3, 7 pm, Navarati Durga Puja- Puja, Bhajans & Arati
  • Friday, October 4, 7  pm Navaratri Durga Puja: Puja, Bhajans & Arati
  • Saturday, October 5, 4 - 6 PM, Navaratri Durga: Puja, Bhajans & Arati

LAKSHMI PUJA:

  • Sunday, October 6, 7-9 pm, Navaratri Lakshmi Puja with Swamiji:  Puja, Bhajans & Arati
  • Monday, October 7, 7 - 9  pm, Navaratri Lakshmi Puja with Swamiji:  Puja, Bhajans & Arati
  • Tuesday, October 8,  7 - 9 PM, Navaratri Lakshmi Puja with Swamiji, Bhajans & Arati

SARASWATI PUJA:

  • Wednesday, October 9, 7 - 9 PM, Saraswati Puja with Swamiji - Puja, Bhajans & Arati
  • Thursday, October 10, 7 - 9 PM, Saraswati Puja with Swamiji - Puja, Bhajans & Arati
    • **Books, tools and instruments to be offered for puja can be brought on this day.
  • Friday, October 11,  7 - 9 PM, Special Navaratri Puja by Swamini - Puja, Bhajans & Arati

Vijayadashami Program:

  • Saturday, October 12,  9 - 10:30  AM - Puja, Bhajans, Arati

Evening Bhajans

Sunday - Friday: 7 PM
If there is no Saturday program in the temple hall, bhajans are in the Main House at 7 PM.

  • Guru Stotram Chanting
  • Bhajans (Devotional singing)
  • Closing prayers and Arati

Directions

The Main House is on the hill above the temple hall. When you arrive at MA Center,  turn right and cross over the small bridge. Use the call box on your left just before the outer gate to communicate that you need the gate opened to drive through. Then follow the road past the temple. The road continues on the right next to the temple gate, then curves left up the hill to the Main House. The puja room is just inside the front door to the house.
