Shivarathri & Homa with Swamini: In-person
MA Center will celebrate Maha Shivarathri with an all-night program, led by Swamini Ambikamrita Prana.. The program ends with a Homa (vedic fire ceremony) performed by Swamini, dedicated to world peace and harmony and for Amma’s devotees who have passed away.
See below for more details on how to register for a sankalpa (spiritual resolve) to be made during the homa on your behalf.
Schedule:
- 7 PM: Dinner (pre-order for a discounted price via Food From Home. Orders will open on Sunday, March 3rd. See below for more details)
- 8 PM: Satsang by Swamini
- 9 PM - 3 AM: Shiva Puja, Bhajans and chanting throughout the night.
- Group Dancing and Guided Yoga stretch breaks for movement.
- Chai, a light snack and breakfast will be available for those not fasting.
- 4 AM - 6 AM: Homa by Swamini
Homa Registration: Register here before Friday, March 8 at 2 PM PST
The following pujas will be included and are available to register for a sankalpa (spiritual resolve) to be made during the homa on your behalf, or for a loved one, through Friday, March 8 at 2 pm PST: Ganapathy, Maha Ganapathy, Tila, Navagraha (all nine planets), and individual planets: Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu, and Ketu
Food
- Prasad and Chai are complimentary.
- Dinner and snacks will be available for purchase. Pre-order dinner via Food From Home site for a discounted price of $11+tax. Dinner price will be $15 at the door. Orders will open on the Food From Home site on Sunday, March 3rd.
- A complimentary light breakfast & chai will be available before the homa at 3 AM.
Masks Indoors are optional and a personal preference. We request you to remember that the health and safety of all who wish to attend the program should remain uppermost in our minds and hearts. If you feel at all sick, have a fever, or have been exposed to anyone who tests positive for Covid-19, please do not attend.

If there is no Saturday program in the temple hall, bhajans are in the Main House at 7 PM.

Directions
The Main House is on the hill above the temple hall. When you arrive at MA Center, turn right and cross over the small bridge. Use the call box on your left just before the outer gate to communicate that you need the gate opened to drive through. Then follow the road past the temple. The road continues on the right next to the temple gate, then curves left up the hill to the Main House. The puja room is just inside the front door to the house.
