Embracing the World at Rockmill Park
Celebrating Amma's birthday in Georgia by serving nature....
“Environmental cleanliness and hygiene are a part of development and cultural refinement. For this to happen, we need to plan widespread awareness campaigns. We should mount enough signboards on environmental cleanliness in public places, bus stands and roadsides.” – Amma’s Amala Bharatam Campaign Speech
Rivers Alive is Georgia's annual volunteer waterway cleanup event that targets all waterways in the State including streams, rivers, lakes, beaches, and wetlands. The mission of Rivers Alive is to create awareness of and involvement in the preservation of Georgia's water resources. This Saturday, September 30th, MA Center Atlanta's Embracing the World volunteers are teaming with Rivers Alive at Rockmill Park in Georgia, as part of their annual seva initiative in honor of the birthday of our most beloved Amma. Volunteers will be labeling storm drains and distributing informative fliers to educate neighborhoods on proper waste management.
