Kārtika Sarvaiśwarya Puja - Amma's Star Birthday
We welcome you all to join us in-person and online for a special Sarva Aiswarya Puja this Sunday, September 22, at 5:30pm. The Karthika day of the Month of Kanni (as per the Malayalam Lunar Calendar) is Amma's star birthday.
To mark this auspicious day, Br. Rāmānandāmṛta Chaitanya will be performing the Puja, praying for the well being and prosperity of all. Sarva stands for 'everyone and all'; 'aishwarya' stands for 'prosperity and auspiciousness'.
The Puja invoking Goddess Lakshmi - the presiding deity of wealth and well-being is performed in the traditional tantric style, popularly followed in the state of Kerala, India with elaborate arrangements of lamps over a traditional design prepared with powders and flowers. It is a perfect way for all of us to come together, pray and strive for prosperity and well-being, given the situation the whole world is in today.
The puja will be accompanied by Vedic hymns, chants and bhajans by the DC Satsang members.
