Seeking volunteers for DC Central Kitchen Seva
Since 2013, when our beloved AMMA turned 60, our satsang has been celebrating her birthday by participating in a very special seva at DC Central Kitchen. Continuing this tradition, on the occasion of AMMA's 71st birthday this September, AMMA DC Satsang members will have the opportunity to assist in the preparation of meals for the needy at the new DC Central Kitchen facility (now located at 2121 First Street SW, Washington, DC - 20024.on the morning of Sunday, September 8, 2024, from 8:45am to 12:30pm (other information related to the seva will be communicated in a follow-up email to sevaites who sign up).
Date
Sunday, September 8, 2024, from 8:45am to 1:00pm.
We need 35 volunteers for this seva. Sevaites will assist in the preparation of meals for the needy by chopping vegetables and performing other assigned tasks at the new DC Central Kitchen facility. The number of volunteers is limited to 35 for safety reasons and due to space constraints at the facility. Also for safety reasons, children are not allowed in the kitchen at the facility.
