Welcome to the Nebraska Satsang

YOU ARE INVITED!

Our main spiritual gathering is called Satsang. This means that we gather in someone's home to share in spiritual practice together.

We meet the second Saturday of each month at 6:30 pm to chant the 108 names of Amma followed by a short meditation, spiritual discussion and devotional singing. For anyone who likes to chant, we gather at 5:30 pm -just before Satsang begins-and chant the Sri Lalita Sahasranam.  Satsang ends at 8 pm with a vegetarian meal.

We also have lots of activities during the month. We are always looking for new ideas and enthusiasm!

Nebraksa Satsang Opportunities

  • Mother's Kitchen Projects
    Amma prays that all people, at least for one night, will not be hungry. Mother's Kitchen helps with her wish by volunteering at local establishments to cook and serve food for hungry people. We serve in surrounding areas, Omaha and Lincoln, NE.
  • Bhajans
    "To gain concentration in this age of materialism, bhajan is easier than meditation. By loud singing, other distracting sounds will be overcome and concentration will be achieved. Bhajan, concentration and meditation, this is the progression." - Amma
    Join us every 4th Sunday afternoon at 3:30-5 pm for bhajans and practice. We learn bhajans from Amma's archived music including bhajans in English and Spanish. Our Satsang is blessed with professional musicians and a linguistics expert to help facilitate learning. For more information and location please contact us at Nebraskasatsang@ammagroups.org.
  • Green Friends
    Brings a wonderful invitation to become the best stewards of Mother Earth that we can be. We provide education, community garden opportunities and green activities for children.
  • Other Activities
    We also have weekly SKYPE class with Br. Shantamrita Chaitanya based at MACC & monthly bhajan practices led by professional musicians.
