Welcome to the Pittsburgh Area Satsang
We meet on the first Saturday of each month at 4:15 p.m., followed by vegetarian pot-luck. You can join us early if you like, from 3:00-4:00 to chant the 1000 Names of the Divine Mother. Our program consists of:
- Chanting of Amma's 108 Names
- Video of Amma
- Devotional reading and discussion
- Bhajans, or devotional singing
- Arati, or singing and waving of camphor in praise of Amma
- Meditation
Members are involved in the Jubliee Kitchen in Pittsburgh, Feeding the Spirit in Greensburg, and write letters for the Circle of Love outreach program. Our satsang supports Amma's North American Tour by volunteering at the Washington, DC, program.
