C20 999 Challenge Events
The C20 working group Integrated Holistic Health's challenge is to practice 9 rounds of Surya Namaskar and 9 minutes of Meditation for World Peace daily for 9 days and then reflect on the impact it had on your life. The challenge highlights how yoga and meditation can have a major impact on mental health and physical well-being. Amma has indicated the goal is to reach as many people around the world through July 24, 2023.
Daily practice is offered via zoom, 7 AM ET from July 15-23. Read more >

Mindfulness: The Key to Wellness

On Saturday, June 17, we held an enriching C20 event, "Mindfulness: The Key to Wellness" as part of Integrated Holistic Health C20 working group. Esteemed speakers like Dr. Chiti Parikh, Executive Director of Weill Cornell Medicine Integrative Health at New York Presbyterian, Swami Chidananda of the Integral Yoga Institute New York City and, Br. Ramanandamrita Chaitanya, Director, M.A. Center, helped us delve into the profound connection between mindfulness, spirituality, science and health. Over 80 passionate participants embraced the empowering 999challenge, dedicating themselves to 9 rounds of Surya Namaskar and 9 minutes of meditation every day for 9 consecutive days. The event closed with soul-nourishing prayers for peace and uplifting devotional singing. Gratitude to all who made this event a true success!
“Strides Together: Embracing Gender Equality"

The event aimed to raise awareness about the significance of gender equity in creating a healthy, meaningful, and peaceful society. We were honored to have distinguished speakers who illuminated the 50+ person audience with their insightful talks and shared their wisdom.
Br. Ramanandamrita Chaitanya from M.A. Center, Rev. John Joseph Mastendrea from the United Church of Canada, and Imam Ismail Ulghar from the Canadian Council of Imams graced the occasion and emphasized the teachings of various faiths and traditions on acceptance, empowerment, and support for individuals of all genders.

MA Center DC hosted the C20 event "Nurturing Today's Tech World for a Resilient Tomorrow" which brought together the Technology Security and Transparency and the Resilient Community C20 Working Groups in an effort to marry these causes creatively and responsibly. The event welcomed about 100 participants and featured renowned speakers and distinguished guests, including Jag Mohan, Minister of Community Affairs from the Embassy of India; Dr. Ashok Agrawala, esteemed professor in computer science at the University of Maryland; Pratap Verma, Federal Attorney; and Pawan Nallan Chakravartulla, Founder and CEO of SecurDi. We were honored to have Aditi Wallunj, First Secretary for the Embassy of India, grace the occasion.
