AYUDH Minnesota Bake Sale Charity Drive

 AYUDH (Youth group) Minnesota organized a bake sale and collected $400 as donation towards the AYUDH Relief drive - they prepped 69 sandwiches and pasta for the Homeless Shelter for the residents of Simpson Shelter, Minneapolis in December.

Valentine's Cards by Toronto Satsang

Please help us shower some love upon the Bennett Centre’s residents this Valentines Day!

We are inviting the youth of the Toronto Satsang and those young at heart to partake in our annual Valentine’s card making initiative, in hopes that we can make 70 plus cards to brighten our residents’ day! Any handcrafted card with a heartwarming message is welcome.

Donating to YWCA Grocery Card Program

For some years, #AmmaVancouver volunteers have participated in the annual #YWCA program Presents of Peace. Most of us recall the sometimes laborious shopping expeditions, the always fun gift wrapping sessions, and the joy of distributing bags of presents to various families.
Since the pandemic however, when shopping and gathering were restricted, we switched to a more sustainable program. Through generous sponsorship and unwavering support from #AmmaCanada, we began donating $1500 to the YWCA Grocery Gift Card Program to purchase 60 gift cards of $25 each.

Given that food banks are struggling to keep up with demand, this felt like a perfect fit. A few of us came together on Tuesday December 12 for a simple check presentation with Stephanie McKnight, Program Director at the YWCA.

Victoria Satsang donates on behalf of Amma Canada

#ammavictoria embraces the #spiritofgiving. On December 24th, Victoria Satsang graciously donated funds on behalf of Amma Canada to two wonderful charities where they regularly volunteer: the Red Cedar Cafe and Our Place Society.

The Red Cedar Cafe prepares meals for anyone who cannot afford to purchase meals for their family. They can sign up for a meal each day for a week at a time and pay what they can afford.

Our Place Society is a homeless shelter organization that not only supplies meals for the homeless, but also counseling services, housing and household necessities. With 5 offices in Victoria and a large staff, they are a bright light in Victoria for those in need. #communityfirst
