Hurricane Helene Relief Efforts

M.A.Center Volunteer working to organize and distribute essentials

Volunteers from AYUDH Americas, MA Center Atlanta, and the Amma Satsang in Asheville united to support relief efforts following the devastation of Hurricane Helene.

On October 14, Br. Ramanandamrita Chaitanya and a team of volunteers joined forces with two local Asheville organizations to provide assistance. They partnered with the NGO Beloved Asheville to sort, organize, load, and distribute relief supplies throughout Asheville and surrounding counties. Additionally, the team delivered essential items such as rice, lentils, quinoa, and blankets to the Ayurvedic Institute, which has been preparing meals for 150 to 200 people daily. Br. Ramanandamrita Chaitanya and the volunteers also spent time connecting with community members, listening to their stories, and concluded their visit with a short prayer for world peace.

In addition, James and Tera Whittle, Amma devotees residing in Asheville, have been volunteering tirelessly in some of the hardest-hit mountain regions of Yancey and Mitchell counties. They have dedicated themselves to delivering supplies and providing support to these devastated communities.
