About Amma Athens Satsang:
We are a small group of welcoming folks who have been students of Amma's for many years. Inspired by Amma's capacity for devotion and service to all of humanity, we come together to be reminded that we each have that capacity within us and how Amma's life is an invitation to live a daily life where we continuously tap into that part of ourselves.
We gather the first Sunday of every month from 5:30-7pm at the Healing Arts Centre. We begin by reciting the 15th Chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, followed Guru Paduka Strotham and the Guru Strotham. We then are prepared for Archana-the 108 Names of the Divine Mother, followed by a short devotional reading of /or about Amma. Then we sing devotional/inspirational songs from all traditions; we meditate, any style is welcome; and then close with an offering of the Light/Flame, known as arati.
We also enjoy watching short video clips of Amma offering spiritual guidance, dancing, singing, tour footage, etc...
As well, there are members of our Satsang that participate in the Circle of Love Inside program in which we write letters to inmates in the name of spiritual upliftment.
