Seattle Satsang Projects

Donating Sleeping bags and Buss passes
Warm Hug Project

In December 2013, an Embracing the World Project called Project Warm Hug was launched as part of the numerous humanitarian activities by the Redmond/Seattle Satsang. One of the goals of this project was to meet immediate needs of the homeless community in the Puget Sound area for which sleeping bags and bus passes were purchased.

Funds collected from generous donations from Satsang members were used to purchase 70 sleeping bags and 200 bus passes.

The 70 sleeping bags and 200 bus passes were initially distributed to the homeless people via the Mother’s kitchen event on December 15, 2013. Mother’s Kitchen is another Embracing the World project that serves delicious and nutritious meals to the homeless people.

The remaining items were distributed via two non-profit organizations – Youth Care (sleeping bags and bus passes) and Facing Homelessness ( aka Homeless in Seattle; 29 sleeping bags and 118 bus passes).

We appreciate the Seattle Satsang for their wonderful contributions and services to the Community.
