Seva and Daily Prayers
"The ashram is not a mere cluster of inanimate buildings, temples, trees and residences; rather it is the very embodiment of the Spiritual Master’s Grace. It is a vital, dynamic and living institution, which stimulates the aspiration of the sincere student to attain oneness. The spiritual practice, service, prayers, and pure thoughts and actions of the visitors and residents combine with the Grace of the Master to make the ashram a holy, sacred place.” - Amma
On the first Saturday of every month, our community comes together to offer a day of selfless-service/seva. All are welcome to join. Information on time and schedule of our next seva day is listed on our events page.
Furthermore, being a new ashram inaugurated on December 3rd 2016, we encourage every one to participate in this beautiful opportunity to help consecrate the space of M.A. Center Atlanta. As Amma says, this is done through spiritual practice, service and meditation. The ashram is open to all to perform these activities. For updates on our ongoing seva projects not on our monthly seva day, join our mailing list here. Or email macenteratlanta@ammagroups.org for more information on our daily seva opportunities.
And of course, all are welcome to come experience the serenity of ending your day with our evening prayers.
Format of Daily Evening Prayer, 7:00pm - 8:00pm on Weekdays, and 5:00pm - 6:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays : Prayers include Chanting of Amma's 108 Names, Sri Lalita Sahasranamam, Aarti (waving of camphor).
