Sarvaishwarya Homa for the New Year

Following the North American New Year Day retreat, Br. Ramanandamrita Chaitanya will be performing a Sarvaishwarya Homa for well-being and prosperity, to welcome the new year on an auspicious note. Though the event is open to all, you may register for the homa if you would want a sankalpa (resolve) made on your behalf by Br. Ramanandamrita Chaitanya.

The evening would include:

• An introductory talk by Swami Shantamritananda from M.A. Center Chicago
• Homa performed by Br. Ramanandamrita Chaitanya in M.A. Center Washington DC, as Swami Dayamritananda would lead the chants and bhajans (devotional singing) from M.A. Center San Ramon.

What is Sarvaishwarya Homa

Sarvaishwarya in sanskrit means auspiciousness in all forms.  The Sarvaishwarya Homa will be performed in the traditional tantric style, popularly followed in the state of Kerala, India. It involves ritualistic worship of fire and prescribed offerings made into the fire. Sarvaishwarya Homa is performed praying for the well being and prosperity for all. It would mark an auspicious beginning to a new year with all of us coming together, to pray and strive for prosperity, well being and world peace, given the situation the whole world is in, today.
