Amma Video - Amritavarsham 50 - Part 1

Today we view the first half of Amritavarshin50 - a video that captures the splendor of Amma's 50th birthday celebrations. This was a global gathering and beautiful example of universal love and kinship, inspired by Amma.

Highlights of Amritavarsham 50 captured in this video include Embracing the World for Peace and Harmony, a four-day International event held during the Golden Jubilee Birthday Celebrations of Her Holiness Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi  (Amma).

Delegates and representatives from all 191 United Nations gathered at this event and water was brought from the sacred rivers of these nations. We will view cultural and artistic performances from many continents, religions, and cultures.

Renowned leaders from all walks of life shared their wisdom, several conferences were conducted and new charitable projects were inaugurated.

With the flags of all nations waving, hundreds of thousands of devotees from around the world held hands and prayed together for global peace and harmony, chanting Lokah Samastah Sukino Bhavantu (May all beings in all the Worlds be Happy).

This universal convergence of hearts and minds with a common goal of global peace and harmony was hailed as a unique and unprecedented event.
