Socks for the Homeless
Thus far, thanks to the generosity of MAC New England, including matching donation funds for December 2022, Amos House Shelter will be receiving almost 700 pairs of tube socks! While this is indeed abundant, the needs of unhoused individuals are significant and unending. Individuals experiencing homelessness suffer in a multitude of ways including being vulnerable to the elements especially in cold and wet weather. These individuals are in need of protecting their feet. We will be donating new tube socks to Amos House homeless shelter located in Providence, Rhode Island. Amos House manages the largest soup kitchen in the state, provides social services to over 15,000 people a year and housing nearly 165 men, women and children a night.
