Online Kartika Satsang with Br. Ramanandamrita Chaitanya

A monthly birthday is traditionally observed in India that is based on the moon’s position at the time of birth, in addition to the annual birthday observed in the West, which is based on the sun’s position. According to the Indian calendar, Kartika is the nakshatram (star constellation) in which the moon was transiting at the time of Amma’s birth, and so each time the moon returns to this spot in the heavens, approximately every 28 days, it is considered to be Amma’s birthday. This day is dedicated to Amma and is traditionally celebrated by Her children across the globe by doing various spiritual practices. Please join Br. Ramanandamrita Chaitanya in offering special prayers for world peace on the occasion of Amma's birth star. This Kartika observance will include:

  • Brief Meditation
  • Amma's Ashtottara Shata Namavali (Amma's 108 names)
  • Mahishasura Mardini Stotram
  • Bhajans (devotional singing)
  • Prayers for World Peace
  • Arati
