Amma Canada sponsors PCAF 2024 Bursary Recipients
Amma Canada representatives from the Toronto Satsang attended a lively Trailblazer event on Wednesday, June 5. The Peel Children’s Aid Foundation (PCAF) Donor event celebrates the accomplishments of disadvantaged youth supported by Peel Children's Aid Society. These youth are achieving their educational goals, despite facing significant challenges in their lives.
The evening is hosted by PCAF directors, youth, and MC'ed by Francis D’Souza, Managing Editor for CBC news. Community donors, bursary recipients, and their caseworkers were in attendance. Amma Canada representatives interacted with the youth to watch featured performances, enjoy snacks, and participated in a fun team game. It is always a heartwarming and inspiring evening.
Every year since 2009, Amma Canada has sponsored two or more youth from Peel Children’s Aid Society to fund bursaries supporting their educational goals. Before the pandemic, the youth were invited to receive Amma’s darshan in an onstage ceremony during the Toronto public program. We hope next year, if there is a Toronto tour stop, Amma might once again meet with the youth.
