Aug 23 & 24: Chilli Prep & Serving at Georgetown Bread Basket

Volunteers chopping veggies for chilli in Amma Canada kitchen

Guests expressed their gratitude to have a hot meal to take home

Amma Canada volunteer stirring chilliSatsang volunteers gathered in the Amma Canada kitchen on the evening of Friday, August 23 to help chop veggies, cook, and prepare seven crock pots of vegetarian chilli. On Saturday, August 24 morning, two volunteers transported the seven crock pots of chilli to Georgetown Bread Basket where we served over 35 individuals, seniors and families who shop for their groceries at the food bank. Guests expressed their gratitude to have a hot meal to take home, and we received many compliments on our delicious chilli. Thank you to all who participated in this lovely seva (selfless service) to help serve those in need in Georgetown!

If you wish to participate in the next chilli preparation or serving, please contact Mahita at ammatoronto@ammagroups.org
