August 19: Farming Seva

Volunteers at veggie sales stall with a bountiful harvest from the veggie garden

Volunteers needed this Saturday!

Many volunteers are needed this Saturday, August 19 to assist with vegetable harvesting and sales, picking of the early 'Pristine' apples', and with clearing out infested and diseased apples from the orchard. Please join for any amount of time between 10 AM - 4 PM. Kindly remember to wear closed-toe shoes. A light lunch will be served. Kindly let us know by Friday, August 18 midday if you are coming, so an adequate amount of food can be prepared. Sign up HERE, contact Pauline, or email ammatoronto@ammagroups.org

The vegetable stall will be open for business this Saturday as well from 12 - 4 PM. The veggie garden is bursting with beautiful tomatoes, eggplant, cucumbers, cabbage, beets, green peppers, Swiss chard, kale, and zucchini. Some 'Pristine' apples, onions, karela (bitter gourd), poi (Malabar spinach), green beans, and squash/pumpkin may also be available to purchase. The Farm Team is working to reduce, recycle, and reuse plastic bags. Please help us by bringing your own bags (cloth or other) for your veggie purchases.
