Farming Seva & Produce Sales - Aug 24

Satsang member buying veggies

There's always seva to do, no matter the weather!

Thank you to the sevites who came to help at the Farm last Saturday, in spite of the intermittent rain and winds. The team managed to harvest many vegetables before the downpour.  During the heavy rain, sevites switched over to tackling the cleanup in the orchard/bee barn. Not a moment was wasted! A lot of seva is needed in both barns and the three sheds in the weeks to come. A beautiful lunch was served, and all were eagerly happy to share their experience with our dear Amma during the retreats and/or public programs.

Farm seva continues every Saturday in the various areas of indoor and outdoor sevas: harvesting, grass cutting, weeding, setting up the veggie sales desk, and organizing the barns and sheds. Drop in anytime between 10 AM - 4 PM.  Help is greatly appreciated!

Please note that the orchard seva starts at 11 AM. The remaining summer pears will be harvested this weekend. Closed toe shoes are required in the orchard.

Our vegetable sales table is open for business every Saturday between 1 - 4 PM and 30 minutes after satsang. Vegetables available this weekend include: chillies, kale, Swiss chard, Malabar spinach (poi), tomatoes, bitter gourd, and much more. Pears will also be available for purchase. Please support Amma's Garden, and monies generated from veggie and orchard sales go to Amman's many humanitarian activities!  Kindly bring your own reusable bags, as the farm team is working on reducing the need for plastic bags. Cash or debit payment is preferred. E-transfer is also accepted.

Please bring your lunch and snacks as there will be no access to the kitchen this weekend. If you have questions, please contact Brian or or email ammatoronto@ammagroups.org
