Amma Canada Food Rescue - August - October 2024
Our Amma Canada volunteers continue to pick up non-perishable and excess boxes of food kindly donated from Georgetown Bread Basket to distribute to Brampton’s Knights Table over the past three months. These donations ensure useable food is accessed by families in need in the Brampton community. Close to 1000 lbs of food (including a 30 lb donation of pears from the Amma orchard) was transported by our volunteers on Saturdays to the food program at Brampton Knights Table. The volunteer staff at Knights Table are grateful for our efforts, and submitted a letter of thanks. Thank you to all who participate in this event to conserve food, help provide meals and prevent food waste!
