Shivaratri Satsang with Swami Dayamritananda Puri

During Amma's 2016 Shivaratri message, she said, "Shivaratri is a celebration of sacrifice, dispassion and renunciation. Shivaratri teaches us to abandon all other thoughts in contemplation of God, and to realize the ultimate purpose of human life." Join us for a special Shivaratri at MA Center Chicago with Swami Dayamritananda Puri. The program will include a Shivaratri talk, abhishekam, chanting, bhajans, and meditation. Here's the planned schedule:

4:00 - 5:00 pm - Archana (chanting of the divine names)
5:00 - 5:30 pm - Shivaratri satsang talk by Swami Dayamritananda Puri 
5:30 - 7:45 pm - Shiva abhishekam, , bhajans, arati, meditation, prayers, and prasad
7:45 - 9:00 pm - Dinner break (PLEASE RSVP for planning purposes - email Meetali)

9:00 - 10:15 pm - Archana and Mahisasuramardini Stotram
10:15 - 10:30 pm - Chai break
10:30 - 11:45 pm - Bhajans
11:45 - 12:05 am - Mahamrityunjaya mantra chant
12:05 - 12:15 am - Lokaha Samastha chant

Masking is now optional in group gatherings and spaces at MA Center Chicago. Keeping the health and safety of all who wish to attend uppermost in our minds, please abide by the following Covid guidelines:

  • If you have any Covid symptoms, test immediately. If you test positive, isolate for 5 days after symptom onset. You can end isolation after 5 days but should wear a high-quality mask for 5 additional days around others. MA Center Chicago residents should notify a member of the Covid Preparedness Team to request help obtaining food/other supplies.
  • For those returning after international travel, please test 3-5 days after arriving back in the US. If negative, you may attend MA Center Chicago gatherings. If you have had Covid 90 days prior to arrival, and have no symptoms, quarantining is not necessary.
