Srimad Bhagavatam Class with Swami Dayamritananda Puri
This Tuesday, Swami Dayamritananda Puri will conduct his Srimad Bhagavatam class from the MA Center Chicago satsang hall. The Srimad Bhagavatam was written by Bhagawan Vyasa, the compiler of the Vedas. The format for the class is a short meditation and spiritual discourse, followed by a few bhajans led by Swamiji and arati. For those who cannot attend live, the class will be broadcast on the MA Center San Ramon YouTube Channel.
Masking is now optional in group gatherings and spaces at MA Center Chicago. Keeping the health and safety of all who wish to attend uppermost in our minds, please abide by the following Covid guidelines:
- If you have any COVID symptoms, test immediately. If you test positive, isolate for 5 days after symptom onset. You can end isolation after 5 days but should wear a high-quality mask for 5 additional days around others. If you have severe symptoms for 5 days, please isolate for an additional 5 days. MA Center Chicago residents should notify a member of the COVID Preparedness Team to request help obtaining food/other supplies.
- No testing is required after international travel, unless you present symptoms.
About Srimad Bhagavatam:
Śrīmad Bhāgavatam or Bhāgavata, is one of the eighteen great Puranas (Mahapuranas) of Sanatana Dharma. It promotes Bhakti (devotion) integrating themes from the Advaita (monism) philosophy of Adi Shankara, Vishishtadvaita (qualified monism) of Ramanujacharya and Dvaita (dualism) of Madhvacharya. After compiling the Vedas, Bhagawan Vyasa was inspired to present their profound essence in the form of Srimad Bhagavatam. This text is considered to be the most complete exposition of Vedic knowledge, covering a wide range of topics including cosmology, nature, origin of the universe, astronomy, genealogy, geography, legend, music, dance, yoga and culture.
While this class will be broacast from MA Center Chicago, it's an MA Center San Ramon program. Please contact the MA Center San Ramon Events Team if you have any questions: macsrevents@ammagroups.org
