On the ninth and final night of Navaratri, Pujarini Meera will perform a Vedic Puja dedicated to Saraswati, the Goddess of Knowledge.

The word Navaratri means 'nine nights' in Sanskrit. During these nine nights and ten days, three days each are devoted to honoring Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. We are presently living in the night -i.e. in darkness - in the darkness of ignorance. The Navaratri Puja signifies the removal of this internal darkness and the dawning of the light of knowledge. Each night, a puja ceremony will be performed by a devotee, along with group chanting and bhajans (devotional singing).
