Spreading Amma's Love Through the Gift of Giving

Amma Canada volunteer delivering non-perishable food and clothing to Bethany Baptist ChurchFrom November-December, Amma's Toronto Satsang came together in the spirit of giving, preparing, and delivering charitable gifts to those in need. Volunteer shoppers thoughtfully purchased these gifts from wish lists for families and seniors prepared by Links2Care, and Bennett Centre LTC. Fifty five families supported by Links2Care received heartfelt holiday cards written by Amma Canada volunteers, offering warmth and hope during the season. Additionally, Toronto Satsang members, AYUDH TO youths, and Amrita Bala Kendra TO kids lovingly crafted over 80 handmade cards for Bennett Centre seniors, adding a personal touch of kindness to their holidays. On December 15, Swami Ramanandamrita Chaitanya took a moment at the Amma Canada Centre to admire and bless these wonderful cards and gifts, reminding everyone of the joy that comes from serving others with love. Finally, devotees loaded their 'Toyota sleighs' with the cards and gifts, and delivered them to the Bennett Centre and Links to Care, spreading Amma’s love and joy to the wider community. A small treat was also included for the hardworking staff at both organizations.

Gently used men’s and woman’s winter clothing and toiletries collected by Toronto Satsang were donated to Bethany Baptist Church to support those in need during the colder months. Earlier in the week, over 360 delicious chocolate chip cookies were delivered to the St. Felix Centre homeless clients to bring a little extra sweetness to their celebrations.

Amma Canada's efforts in packing, delivering, and spreading Amma's cheer touched countless hearts and brought light to many this holiday season. May these acts of kindness continue to inspire us all to give selflessly and carry Amma’s message of love and service to the world!  If you wish to learn more or get involved in Amma's initiatives, feel free to reach out to us at ammatoronto@ammagroups.org
