Pongal Satsang & More at MA Center Chicago

Pongal Satsang at MA Center Chicago
Pongal Satsang at MA Center Chicago
Jan 18, 2020 9:30am-8:30pm (ended)

Join us for a day of community and devotion at MA Center Chicago, featuring a special Pongal  satsang. Amma says that Creator and Creation are not two, but one – the Divine exists in and through all of Creation. Pongal reminds us of this truth, and provides an opportunity for us to express our gratitude to Mother Nature for all her generous gifts. Join us for our annual Pongal celebration, which will include a talk on the significance of Pongal, a Pongal ceremony, and a cultural program. Satsang will begin at 4:00 pm with archana (chanting the divine names) and because of Pongal, it will conclude at approximately 8:00 pm. We have other programs on Saturday as well. Here's the schedule:

9:30 am - Archana class
1:00 pm - Kolam (Rangoli)
2:00 pm - Amrita Book Club
3:00 pm - Amrita Bala Kendra
3:00 pm - Guided IAM 35
4:00 pm - Archana (chanting of the divine names)
5:00 pm - Pongal satsang
5:30 pm - Pongal ceremony
5:45 - 7:00 pm - Bhajans, arati, meditation, closing prayers, and prasad
7:00 - 7:45 pm - Pongal cultural program

After the cultural program, a delicious vegetarian meal will be available for a modest donation.
