Calling All Volunteers!

Pre-Program:

Program Set Up

All Hands On Deck! Join us to help with program set up the day before Amma arrives. Come to the hotel when you're able and help as long as you want. Every department can use your help with unloading cars, carrying boxes, setting up tables displays, etc. Timeframe TBD.

Sign Team Coordinator and Volunteers Needed

Stage and Backdrop

Would you like to help decorate and set up the stage backdrop? Sign up for Stage Setup at: www.sevatour.org or Contact: pnwtourteam@gmail.com. Many people needed for shifts between the hours of 6 pm - 2 am. Timeframe TBD.

During Amma's Programs:

Two Amma Shop Security Co-coordinators Needed

Contact Rajani at: pnwtourteam@gmail.com. This fun coordinator position supports Amma's bookstore sales by helping customers understand the system of purchasing items, while being a visible, friendly presence to help deter theft. You will be one of three coordinators in this position. Requires mindful attention and a pleasant demeanor. You will work closely with the Seva Desk to sign up volunteers.

Amma Shop Security Shift Volunteers

Sign up for Amma Shop shifts at: www.sevatour.org. We especially need Amma Shop Security volunteers immediately after meditation, when Amma begins darshan. Support Amma's bookstore sales by helping customers understand the system of purchasing items, while being a visible, friendly presence to help deter theft. Requires mindful attention and a pleasant demeanor.

Children's Program Shifts

Sign up for Children's Program Shifts at: www.sevatour.org. Adult and Teen Volunteers-Do you love spending time with children, offering a calm, peaceful, safe and fun place to create, read and play? Are you a parent, grandparent or someone who enjoys connecting with children? We hope you will consider sharing the gift of your presence with the Children's Program. Volunteer positions pending coordinator approval.

Greeters

Green Team Co-Coordinator Needed

Contact Rajani at: pnwtourteam@gmail.com. It is Amma's wish that all Her tour programs be an embodiment of Her teachings to love and protect Mother Earth. She is asking all of us to make a stronger commitment to the environment through awareness, education and example.

Green Team Volunteer Shifts

Sign up for a shift or two at: www.sevatour.org. We need 4-6 energetic Green Team volunteers to help with recycling and composting, who can commit to at least one 3-hour shift per day.

Hall Seating

To sign up for this seva, contact Yogeshwari at: pnwtourteam@gmail.com. Our Hall Seating team needs volunteers at the beginning of each program to calmly help guests efficiently find their seats. Volunteers will be one of the first points of contact for program guests. This fast-paced seva requires alertness, organization skills, and a welcoming demeanor.

Hall Clean-Up

To sign up for a shift or two at: www.sevatour.org. We're looking for people who enjoy helping after Amma leaves the hall, to prepare for Her next program. This includes gathering up rose petals and vacuuming the stage area, straightening chairs, taking personal items to Lost and Found and removing discarded items.

  • After Morning Programs-Need 3-5 people after morning program (late afternoon)
  • After Evening Programs-Need 3-5 people after evening program (late night)

One Massage Coordinator Needed

Contact Rajani at: pnwtourteam@gmail.com. Tasks include working with PNW supply team to gather required supplies for national massage team. Recruit for licensed massage therapists to support the national team. Massage coordinator does not have to be a licensed massage therapist to serve in this role.

Seva Desk

Sign up for shifts at: www.sevatour.org. Would you enjoy recruiting people during Amma's programs, for various volunteer positions? This fun, energetic team works closely with local program coordinators to fill volunteer positions. Arts and crafts skills are a plus, because this team creates eye-catching signage to find potential sevites!

Welcome Desk

Sign up on the Sevatour site at: www.sevatour.org. We're looking for 4-6 people. The Welcome Desk is all about helping people. Answer questions and hand out informational material. Brochures and binders are available for reference and handouts. Help those who want information on regional Satsangs. Report 20 minutes before the start of your shift to the Welcome Table.

Western Snack Shop

Sign up for shifts on the Sevatour site at: www.sevatour.org. Do you love helping the public? We're looking for snack shop volunteers who enjoy working with the public, serving delicious cakes, cookies and chai! Food Worker Card is a plus but not required. (No small children please.)
